After many requests to have the coach picking up from Sidmouth & Seaton and to arrive in time for  07.00hrs start from Minehead I have been able to reorganise the

pick up times.

BIKES, these will fit in the large lockers under the coach, the height of the lockers is 900mm this will mean front wheel out and seat post down or OUT.

No responsibility can be taken by Crudge Coaches for damage to bikes during transport, I will take some sheets and card for packing.

PICK UP TIMES.

Seaton coach park                                04.15hrs

Sidmouth at Waitrose  bus stop              04.30hrs

Honiton at Dowell street car park          05.00hrs

Minehead arrive                                    06.30hrs

If you would like to bring a warm top for the journey you will be able to leave it in kit bag on the coach which I will collect from the coach company after the event, you will have to then arrange to collect it from me.

Please can you bring the correct money for the coach £8.00

My mobile number is 07791 837 591.

I hope you all enjoy riding this Pro stage of the Tour of Britain it is an awesome route.

Final Stage

2nd June

Morning spent in busy SETE; working French port, market, old fishing quarter. Leisurely time spent navigating inland lagoons on SETE MONTPELLIER cycle paths; quite beacharea. Roll into MONTPELLIER very busy; vibrant centre, music festival in flow, a real young peoples place. Hostel in state of restoration; so short spell of sightseeing, very agreeable menu du jour.

The final km total: 1236, to St ROCH stsation. Comfortable TGV to Paris..... and rain!!! Final leg to Le Harve having crossed Prais on Metro; sunny evening to set up on our way home.

A wonderful experience on the bike; no question, the best way to see France off the beaten track.

We would like to thank our timekeepers, Peter Luxton and Rosemary Cloak, and all the club marshals for helping on the evening. Thanks too to our assistants in the kitchen back at HQ for serving the refreshments. We were helped out this year by Feniton Bowls Club who kindly made their clubhouse available as our venue.

Congratulations to all the prize winners on their success, and to all other participants for their interest and support in our event. Grateful thanks also to John and Jean Mallett for attending for the presentation of the Richard Mallett shield.

We look forward to seeing you all on the S26R/10 course next year.

ron-andrew

Sid Valley cyclists, Ron Clint and Andrew Seddon, take on a coast-to-coast challenge this summer in true Gallic style. The cycle tour, starting on 21 June, will take ten days in the saddle leaving from the Channel port of Le Havre; the riders will cross the Loire Valley, before tackling the edge of the Massif Central and finishing in the Mediterranean city of Montpellier, a distance of some 1000km – for disabled rider, Ron, pedalling on one leg, an extra challenge over some spectacular terrain. Ron and Andrew are raising money for Cancer Research UK and are also being sponsored by local furnishers, Potburys, and the Exeter-based cycle shop, The Bike Shed.

If you would like to help please visit our fundraising pages listed at: www.bmycharity.com/coast2coastchallenge
